For a thousand years Prague Castle has been the seat of Bohemian government, and it is truly large enough to perhaps seat another one. This beautiful complex of courtyards, fortifications, chapels, gardens and more covers 45 Ha and one can view the lofty spires from almost every place in Prague. The Czech Republic’s largest church, St Vitus Cathedral and also St Wenceslas’ Chapel and tomb are located within the confines of the castle. The Bohemian coronation jewels are kept in the Crown Chamber where one can go to see them.
